--- 2 months ago --- 2 notes ---Back to 2008. We went to Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow, Russia for the Champions League final pitting 2 giants English Club, Chelsea and Manchester United. This is United 3rd final (previous: 1968, and 1999) and first final for the opposition sides.
CR7 bring United in font with his sublime header before Lampard make all level in 2nd-half. This is really breathtaking 90 minutes+30 min of extra time before we go to shootout. Ironically, CR7 shoot was blocked by Cech (I’m really want to throw something to my tv when I know it). fortunately, John “poor” Terry, Blues captain, slipped when his take his part (I’m fired up once again!!). Finally Van der Sar blocked Anelka shoot to bring United for the 3rd UCL trophy. I can’t describe how happy I’m as well as United players do.
another entertaining+breathtaking final match from United. ‘99 still the best final ever, but I didn’t watch it live.
I’m really sure that United will crown the UCL again soon. Because I believe.
